The Lotus Focus is an culturally conscious and LGBTQIA+ affirming mental health counseling practice dedicated to helping you blossom into the healthiest, happiest, and most vibrant version of yourself. The lotus flower is a flower that only grows in murky waters. Yet it blossoms into this beautiful stainless flower despite being surrounded by mud. The lotus flower is a symbol of resilience, purity, rebirth, and endurance. Like the lotus flower, many of us are surrounded by our own mud. Mud can be any circumstance or obstacle that gets in your way of success and wellness. Just like the lotus flower we also have the potential to rise above the mud and grow into the best version of ourselves. The Lotus Focus is intended to promote wellness and healing in all areas so that you too can grow into the highest version of yourself.

Meet Kayla

Hi, I’m Kayla, a Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Oregon.My education includes a Bachelors and a Masters degree in Psychology and Counseling and I have been in the mental health field for 8 years. I use a trauma focused, client-centered approach to assist people with attaining long lasting transformation

Outside of my work, I values mindfulness, creativity, and fitness, which help me bring calm presence and genuine empathy into my counseling practice.
